HOW DOES PHOSPHORESCENT PAINT WORK?
The phosphorescent paint “charges” when exposed to sunlight, UV light, or artificial lighting, storing energy and then releasing it as visible light after dusk. The glow effect lasts for up to 10 hours, and its intensity depends on the duration and type of illumination. The longer the surface is exposed to light, the longer and brighter it will glow.
ADVANTAGES:
- Intense glow in the dark effect
- High mechanical and chemical resistance
- Excellent adhesion to the substrate
- Easy application
- Weather resistance
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
APPLICATION
Apply the paint using a brush, roller, sponge, or airless spray system. The number of layers depends on the effect you want to achieve. We recommend applying at least 2 or 3 layers on a cleaned and primed surface. Apply each coat at minimum 2-hour intervals.
A thicker layer of the paint provides a better glowing effect.
For maximum effect, it is recommended to apply the paint on a light surface or use a white primer. Applying the paint on dark surfaces may reduce the intensity of the effect by up to 50%.
Before painting, test the paint on a small area. If you plan to apply the paint in very sunny locations, you should know that fluorescent paints have reduced light resistance and may lose intensity.
